Wow, I have been a really bad blogger. My goal during vacation was to blog once a day, which happened until Craig’s laptop was attacked by the baby monster otherwise known as Vienne. She yanked it to the ground, and just so you know, tile floors are not forgiving. Since I have come back, (Ok, it was almost two months ago… I am so embarrassed) my photos have become digitally scattered around 4 different computers. And none of which I am using at the moment. The whole point of blogging once a day was to have a personal reminder of our wonderful trip, so I will have to finish that project once my photos are gathered and sorted out.
So this week I am getting a well needed break from the older two. I love my kids, and I am sure they love me. If you are a seasoned mom, you all know the feeling when you just need a little break from each other. They have been gone since Saturday, and it has been, let’s just say, really great. I am so thankful that my parent’s are willing to take them. Its good for all parties involved.
You kind of forget what it is like to have just one kid- you forget how much work goes into having kids around, how much time, how much laundry, how much “reminding” you do, until you get a break. Soooo much easier. And quieter. And cleaner. So before I start to sound like a bitter angst ridden evil mommy, I will get to my point. My list of things to do while the kids are gone. Here are the things I hope to get done before the house is turned into Lego/Crafty land again.
-Roast 2 lbs of garlic
-Turn 10 lbs of potatoes into Garlic Mashed Potatoes to freeze
-Pull out some clothes for Vienne in the next size bracket (growing like a baby dandylion)
-Finish my bio and first two blog entries for clutchtalk.blogspot.com, a blog for pastor’s wives. Whoo hoo! Does that make me an “offical” writer?
-Finish editing photos for my friend Megan’s family. (I had the privilege to take photos for them last weekend.)
-Chill out and enjoy having only one kid for the week….
Why did I ever think one child was a lot of work?
